The environment in S.M.I.L.E.S Academy
Our classrooms are based on the Reggio Emilia approach, which acts as the 'third teacher'. Our environment is enriching for the children as their work will be placed around them, thus promoting easy exploration of their interests and valuing the significance of documentation.
Graduation Concert 2018
It's that time of the year again, where our kindergarteners confidently showcase their diversity and creative talents! It is a very special moment for our K2 classes, in which they will be graduating from S.M.I.L.E.S Academy. Themed "Once Upon A Time", each segments brought out their innate abilities which was honed through much practice by our dedicated teachers.
Racial Harmony Celebration 2019
Our children were greatly involved in the celebration of Racial Harmony Day which took place on 21st July 2019. Our little ones came dressing in traditional costumes, and S.M.I.L.E.S Academy had organised a range of cross-cultural activities for the children and their parents. The objective of this celebration was to promote appreciation of Racial Harmony and mutual understanding in a society they lived in.
Family Day 2019
Dear parents/ guardians, thank you for coming down to be participate in our Family Day 2019. The parents and children, together with teachers, had great teamwork and spirit while playing the games and the treasure hunt. With the fun and enjoyable activities and enriching entertainment, we were sure that all of us enjoyed ourselves!
Imaginative Play
As we all have heard, young children learn best by imagining and doing. Below is a gallery documented on how our children are seen being constantly active in imaginative play. According to Scholastic (2019), imaginative and pretend play builds developmental skills such as social-emotional development, where children learns how to take turns, shares responsibility and creatively problem-solve.
